Windows Vista was first launched in November 2006 and will continue to be supported until 11th April 2017.
What does this mean?
It means should you take action. Microsoft will no longer provides security updates or technical support for Windows Vista. Security updates and patch vulnerabilities from Microsoft will stop and therefore PCs may be exploited by malicious software. Upgrading will help keep users and their data safer. PCs running Windows Vista will no longer considered to be protected.
How do I upgrade?
Any computer which is old enough to have been purchased with Windows Vista should now be considered due for an upgrade. Currently Windows 10 is the latest Microsoft operating system. We can recommend purchasing a new computer and copying old files from one PC to the other. Some old software may no longer be compatible with Windows 10.
